Our story
A candle should be as considered as the room it sits in
MARO STUDIO 22 began in a rented ground-floor studio with one silicone mould, a secondhand melter and a stubborn dislike of candles that looked temporary. We wanted an object that would still feel right on the shelf after the last flame — so we started with the vessel.
Handmade craftsmanship
Each vessel is cast, cured, sanded and finished by hand. Small variations in tone and texture are the signature of the process, not a flaw in it.
Premium ingredients
A coconut-soy wax blend with a slow, even melt pool. Fragrance oils are phthalate-free and blended in-house over months of trials.
Sustainable materials
Mineral-based vessels, FSC-certified wooden wicks, unbleached cotton wraps and plastic-free packaging printed with soy inks.
Small-batch production
We pour in batches of forty. It keeps quality within reach of two pairs of hands, and it keeps waste close to zero.
Modern minimalist design
Nothing decorative for its own sake. Forms are quiet enough to live on any shelf, in any home, for years.
